About the Founder

With a background in talent acquisition, executive search, and business and brand strategy, my work has been rooted in pattern recognition and systems thinking across domains.

Working with startups and Fortune 500s showed me the difference between scaling and stalling. Earlier roles at Harrods and L.K. Bennett taught me how high-end brands build authority without performing for visibility.

In 2019, after experiencing burnout and realising I was building other people’s visions instead of my own, I left corporate and started my own business.

I didn't have a perfectly formed plan, only a clear knowing that I could no longer build from misalignment.

Despite my experience, I struggled to articulate my value proposition and architect a commercially coherent offering. Much of the branding advice I found was performative, disconnected from how a business sustains authority and profit.

So I went strategic. I redefined success on my own terms and built from clarity, not trends. I stopped treating positioning as a branding exercise and made it a revenue lever.

The greatest lesson: alignment is structural. Boundaries, identity, offer, and commercial signal had to align.

I stopped forcing visibility. The more I aligned, the more I attracted.

That led me into fractional recruiting and HR, and later brand strategy, where I encountered its darker side: language being co-opted, ethics sidelined, and positioning that sounded sophisticated but was disconnected from real value.

At the same time, I saw leaders navigating increasingly complex decisions while evaluating AI-perfect candidates, polished narratives, and making strategic choices where perception and capability don’t always align.

I realised my career had prepared me to work precisely at that intersection.

Years of recruiting taught me how to recognise expertise, and how it can be misread. Brand strategy showed me how perception shapes decisions, and how it can reward appearance over skill. Building my own business revealed how much depends on the less glamorous inner work.

The frameworks I developed throughout that journey yielded meaningful results, not just for me, but for my clients.

That inspired the Purpose & Scale™ method, strategic counsel for conscious leaders, aligning commercial decisions, hiring, and positioning into one structure built to endure.

So they can preserve and amplify their value with greater clarity, confidence, and direction, regardless of market shifts.

It is designed for those running companies responsibly, where profit and purpose coexist as a standard, not a message to perform.

The work I now guide clients through is, in many ways, work I first had to navigate myself.

If this resonates and you’re building with intention, consider this an invitation.

❝Joanna helped me turn years of experience into clear positioning, and the results exceeded my expectations. I gained the confidence to show up with clarity, position my strengths strategically, and even transform weaknesses into assets. It was energising, insightful, and a turning point in how I lead.
